So I was wrong about the International Food Festival. It was an additional event, not replacing Riverfest. Red Bank is just crazy with food festivals this year, and I am not complaining.

The wonderful ladies from the Princeton alumni chapter of my sorority, Phi Mu, threw me a baby shower at Nicholas on Saturday. Audrey, the matriarch of the group, organized the whole thing, and it was really sweet. I had a great afternoon. Audrey took my obsession with cupcakes and turned it into the theme for the day, which I loved.

I’ve already mentioned this new cupcake bakery in Red Bank here and here. I love this place, I’m so happy to have a good local place for cupcakes given the Reeve family obsession. I thought I’d post about the shop itself, which is right down the street from Riverview hospital.

Yesterday Laura Ann gave me the best birthday present: we spent the day getting massages at Bliss SoHo, picking up baked goods, and eating at Peasant.

I met up with Kathy to deliver her NYC pillow and enjoy Cafeteria’s macaroni and cheese sampler (my favorite!) and their truffle fries (now I’m addicted). I was so excited about this lunch (I also had tomato soup) that I completely failed to take any actual pictures of Kathy and me. I see carbs, and…things happen to my attention span. Sorry, Kathy! You know I love you. Read more on Kathy and Maggie Day…
