If January was all about decluttering, February was all about illness and injury. Meh. But also, birthdays and parties!!

This was the month I found out I probably need knee surgery. We had a quick round of a stomach bug with H. Adam needs to have more dental surgery soon. And I’ve been snowed under by a nasty cold/sinus infection for the past few days. But, I’m getting there! On the mend.

I always thought my hands were too shaky to ever do my own nails, but then before the holidays I decided I was tired of spending money and time on manicures. This is the top of the mountain of First World Problems, I know. But, I’m a lifelong nail biter. Having my nails done stops the biting habit.

Her birthday isn’t actually for a couple of weeks, but her party is this weekend. And we’re doing a superhero theme, so I used the Silhouette Cameo my in-laws gave me for Christmas to make really cute favors.

I’ve been on a Pinterest cooking kick lately because I need other moms who manage to cook while chasing kids and doing their jobs to tell me what to make for dinner. Occasionally I feel feisty enough to reach for a Food & Wine recipe, but lately it’s been amazing if food is on the table before, like, 10pm.

I’ve been working on a commission for a wall hanging made from Tyvek race bibs. I’ve never worked with Tyvek before, so this was a challenge that took a bit of research first.
