It’s time to put November to bed and head full-steam into December. I missed a few days of outfits while traveling and spending some lazy weekends in PJ’s this month, but you get the idea.

Elves have been on the brain a lot for me lately. So it seemed appropriate that the first finished bit of my own holiday elfing to share this year would be this killer-deal eyeshadow palette from Eyes Lips Face (otherwise known as E.L.F.).

My mom and I went to see Elf on Broadway on Friday, and it was fantastic! I really wasn’t sure how I’d feel about a musical version of the movie, and without Will Ferrell no less. But it was so much fun, we both left feeling the holiday spirit. The songs are not the most original or catchy show tunes ever (I couldn’t remember one note to sing to you), but the energy of the cast (especially Sebastian Arcelus as Buddy) was so through the roof that it made the show special. The dancing was fun, the cast was clearly having a blast, and it all helped put the show over the top even without a legendary score.

I took the day off blogging yesterday to enjoy some festivities with my mom (more on that tomorrow). But since my video is shaky-camalicious, I thought I’d just post some still photos from the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Balloon Blow-Up. That’s a mouthful, I’ve got to work on a shorter reference.

Yesterday we had a half day at school, so I hopped on the 2:06 train and headed into Manhattan. I went up to the Museum of Natural History to see the parade balloons inflated. My family used to do this almost every year when I was a kid, but there aren’t very many people left who like to go with me. So, until there’s another generation of Reeves to pass this tradition on to, I flew solo.
