I have to admit this to myself, overall. April was not too shabby. In the thick of things April (and really March, too) felt like a hill we’d never get over. There have been work/life balance stresses and H preschool stresses, and having a three-year-old stresses. When H turned 3 in March it was like a switch flipped and an obstinate, boundary-pushing, bedtime-hating little stranger appeared. We’ve also been sick in waves, and none of us were getting any sleep for at least a couple of weeks.
Last month I bought these adorable new dresses. The red dots are from ModCloth, and the apple dress and grey dress are from Boden. I wore the apples once when the weather dared to climb above 50, but the rest are squirreled away for when the weather is actually warm. When is that going to happen?! This is the longest winter of all time. I want to wear my cute dresses with cute shoes.
The Reeve clan headed up to my mom’s neck of the woods a few weeks ago to take in the annual Cherry Blossom Festival in Newark’s Branch Brook Park. This is down the road from where I grew up, and I hadn’t been since I was a kid. We were there on April 13th, and it was still pretty chilly. Most of the blossoms were still closed since it hadn’t really warmed up for the season yet. But it is a lovely walk. Now that I see all the blossoms in our neighborhood finally opening I want to go back and take more pictures.
I haven’t posted anything about the Grand Canyon leg of our spring break trip yet, and I will definitely be doing that this week. I really struggled with the altitude up there, and between that, jet lag, and getting back into work I have been done the past week. I spent Easter Monday asleep. So I needed to take a little blogging break until the fog cleared and I could actually go through my photos from the trip. I still cannot believe my netbook crashed while I was away this weekend.
