I finished my Valentine table runner, just in time for Monday.
I’m thrilled with the blue in these fabrics, it works with my dining room’s blue walls.

It arrived at the end of September, then we had to wait a couple more weeks for the conversion kit to be available. Then Adam wired it into the ceiling the weekend before last. And it is just perfect in the dining room, I’m so thrilled.
Adam and I bought the Short Drum Pendant from West Elm to hang in the dining room. Unfortunately, the conversion kit to actually wire it into the ceiling (the lamp cord has a plug) isn’t available until the end of the month. So currently the dining room oasis remains unfinished, and I can just look at this photo while our lamp is still in the box. But thanks to my mom for the West Elm gift card! Okay, so it was from last Christmas. But sometimes finding the perfect thing takes a while.

Adam hung it up in the dining room for me earlier this week.

It’s done!
I finished sewing all the circles on the other night, and I decided to just trim down the edges to handle the hole problem. That worked well. So I sewed and trimmed all the circles, then tonight I finished it.

I must have done something in a former life to really tick off circles because this project is turning out to be quite the beast.

I’ve finished gluing the 6 minute circles together. They’re not sewn in yet, I wanted to glue all of them first and then sew the whole thing in one go. I’m in love with how it looks.

This is going really well. It took me three tries to make the circle template out of freezer paper, but I finally got it right. This will have 32 circles when it’s finished, and I’d originally wanted half of them to be appliqued and half of them to be 6 Minute Circles from Pieced Curves So Simple. So right now they are spaced to leave room for the appliqued circles, but now that I’ve got the hang of these 6 minute circles I’m thinking of doing the whole project with just those. Unfortunately I’ve already cut out the circles for the applique patches, so I’m not sure what I’ll do yet. But this is going to look great on the wall in the dining room when it’s finished.
I've worked hard on everything here, including the photos. Please don't take them without permission.
