It’s hit already. Watching The Real Housewives of New Jersey as they get ready for Christmas 2010 has kicked in some full-on holiday fever. And don’t look at me like that, we’ve all got a Bravo skeleton in our closet.

It happens to me every year, the cheer kicking in once summer starts and staying in hyperdrive till NYE. But Adam pointed out that last year my seasonal cheer was almost absent. I hadn’t thought about it before, but he’s right. For complicated reasons I was dreading Christmas almost all year, and that meant none of the holiday fever from summer on. I didn’t watch Love, Actually a single time in 2010, I never baked for the neighbors in December, and even the holiday party spread was a little meh.

Not this year.

This year, the fever is on.
