I got so many fun goodies while we were in England!

My Shakespeare cookie. He was yummy.

My mother-in-law gave me these fabrics she brought back from her time teaching in Nigeria 40 years ago. I was really touched that she let me have these treasures! I’ll have to make sure I do something great with them.

When we were in Sheffield I found so many great references to sewing nostalgia at the gallery on campus. I loved this tea towel, a modern twist on the British WWII phrase.

Great fabric from our trip to Arkwright Mill (bottom) and to the upholstery fabric store (top right). A Shakespeare ornament, erasers that say “Out, Damned Spot!”, and a “Sew and Save” tin packed with a sewing kit. Like I said, I love northern England (and the Midlands).
