spring library treeI realized today at work that I never posted my spring library tree. It went up more than a month ago, before spring break. I made brightly colored flowers and got the kids to help me letter them and make grass. My tree is looking a bit rough now that the end of the year approaches; the tape is coming undone, there’s a tear in the tree, the grass is wilting. But I still love it, and I will do another one next year. Unless I think of something even better than a tree. Any ideas? It needs to be something I can make with brown craft paper and on which I can include all the teachers’ names. Brainstorm time!

My displays for the year are winding down now that National Poetry Month is over. All books are due back to the library from students by June 5th, so I only have 1 or 2 more checkouts left with my classes. I’m starting to think about inventory and end-of-year prep for the library. And I’m already brainstorming for next year, which may or may not be a little sad. I haven’t decided yet, but I’m already making lists of tasks and unit plans for next year.
