Other posts on this trip: We Spent Last Week in Italy, Wandering Treviso, Cortina, and Bologna

Our last full day in Italy, we drove almost three hours to Maranello, home of all things Ferrari. The cars are built there, the racing teams are based there, and we went to the Ferrari Museum there. Which was just stuffed full of beautiful red cars.

The 1967 F1 car on the left, and the 1949 car from Le Mans on the right.

Michael Schumacher’s 2000 F1 World Championship car. The engineering up close is just…unreal.

I don’t remember which car this engine belongs to, but it’s a thing of beauty.

Some old school road Ferraris.

The 1957 California is my absolute favorite, though. Gray exterior, tan leather interior. That car is just magnificent.

Some more racers.

The Formula 1 room, with just a circular wall of their cars. And another wall with the names of all the Scuderia Ferrari drivers. We’re not a Ferrari family, but it was still amazing to see. And to see some drivers we love who have made the rounds from team to team, like Fernando Alonso. And, I mean…everyone loves Kimi Raikonnen.

“Mommy, when I grow up I want to be a swim teacher and drive one of those!”

Dare to dream, kiddo.
