We are having a pretty rough week around here. More on that another day, but it seemed like a good time to post some happy photos from the weekend before Thanksgiving, when Adam’s mom and stepfather came over from the UK for a long weekend. We went down to South Jersey to check out Diggerland after seeing IG photos from one of H’s classmates.

We didn’t even know this place existed, but it was so neat. H loves construction equipment, and it turns out her dad and granddad do, too. Not sure who had the most fun, this place was great for little construction lovers. We would definitely go back, we even wondered if we should have H’s next birthday here.

There were little tractors to drive.

There were two trains, and both were a hit with H.

I thought the merry-go-round out of a spinner was awesome.

And then, obviously, the diggers. There was a whole fleet of them in different sizes, and our group had several tries at the wheel.

It’s amazing how seriously you take the digging once you’re in there operating all that machinery.

And also, they were selling supplies to make your own s’mores! Over a real campfire. I was most excited about this development, and they did not disappoint.

A few days later we saw the digger in action at H’s favorite local construction site, and we had tons to talk about at the stoplight while we watched this driver’s technique. Now that we’re experts and all. She approved of his driving skills.
