Done!

 I finished this runner, and I think it’s great. Yes, the back is completely terrifying, but it’s all a learning curve. The front looks fluffy and evenly quilted, the binding looks good, and new tagsI even used one of my new tags from Bella Mental. It’s a table runner, so no one has to know about the back but us (shhh!). And now I have a better idea of what I need to watch out for the next time I quilt something with batting this thick. Time to pack this up with the other holiday decorations.

Yes, I’m very late to this party. I started this runner before the holidays, but I made so many other things that I didn’t have time to finish this. In my quest to end Crafter’s Block I picked this up again. It gives me tons of time to finish this for next Christmas.

It took me a while, but I finally finished appliqueing the patches to my Christmas Runner. Blindstitching takes quite a bit of time, and since this is my first attempt at applique there’s definitely some puckering around a few of the corners. Since it’s done by hand and not on a flat surface, I’ll have to learn how to make sure everything lays flat. I worked on this almost every night while we watched TV, and I’m really happy with it. It looks fantastic in our dining room.

I fell in love with Purl Bee’s Thanksgiving Appliqued + Quilted Runner and decided to make a Christmas version for our dining room table. The table is nowhere near this long, so I’ve been working on getting the proportions and colors just right.
