If you have not done goat yoga…go do goat yoga. I never posted photos from this, but Meredith asked months ago if anyone wanted to go with her to Mad Lavender Farm for some yoga, but with goats. which is a trend sweeping the nation if you didn’t already know (true fact). And, YES. I wanted to go.

Other posts on this trip: We Spent Last Week in Italy, Wandering Treviso, Cortina, and Bologna

Our last full day in Italy, we drove almost three hours to Maranello, home of all things Ferrari. The cars are built there, the racing teams are based there, and we went to the Ferrari Museum there. Which was just stuffed full of beautiful red cars.

I don’t know why, but I’ve come to dread Field Day each year. Which is totally uncalled for because when it actually arrives, I have the best time. I’m completely exhausted when I get home, but man is it fun. And the fact that each grade is color coded by t-shirt wildly appears to the librarian side of me.

fielddayField Day. Considering it’s the kids who did all the running around I can’t believe how tired I am. Exhausted. I came home and slept for 3 hours. Their energy was so over-the-top today that it was exhausting just keeping them off the rafters, so to speak.

lewishamiltonFormula One is back.

The Australian Grand Prix is on Sunday, and here in the Reeve household it’s been a long, dark time since the season ended last November. I have literally been counting down the months and days since the extremely cool Lewis Hamilton took the championship in a huge upset during the Brazilian Grand Prix. This past week has been a complete and total bust in terms of work and home productivity. Every time I start a new job around a new set of little kids (which seems to have happened much more than I’d like the past couple of years), I get sick like two weeks in. I caught a cold which turned into a make-Jackie-so-dizzy-she-can’t-drive sinus infection and ended up home the entire week on my doctor’s orders. All I can say is, at least this time it’s being fixed before turning into a marathon fight with bronchitis. I’m really over those.

2005 Indianapolis Grand Prix, shot by AdamIt’s true. It started in college in GA, when I was exposed to a lot of NASCAR. Then I grew up and got all worldly when I met the husband, and I learned about Formula 1, the biggest, baddest racing league on the planet. You think American athletes make a lot of money? It’s pennies compared to European F1 drivers and their crazy rich teams. Ferrari and Mercedes are big names here, not Chevy and Ford. All the cars are custom built in pieces and assembled for each race weekend. One race engine costs more than my house, and they only last one race. It’s as glamorous as sports get, and racing is a sport; those drivers are working hard.
