We finished this round robin at the beginning of September, but we haven’t pieced the blocks H received yet. There were actually four blocks we made over the summer, and I just completely forgot to take photos of the third! I can’t believe I did that, but if you check #kidsquiltroundrobin on Instagram you’ll see everyone’s photos.

And it’s made my quilt sandwiching so much easier. Usually I spread all 3 layers of a quilt out on my bed, pull it tight, and pin it. I’ve tried spray basting, and maybe I’ll try it again someday. But I still prefer pins. And I love this method. It lets me just use my cutting table, I don’t even have to spread the whole quilt flat.

I started this quilt back in April to get ready for the newest season of Doctor Who, and then life happened and I put aside the finished quilt top for a couple of months. Then when the 13th Doctor was announced, I got inspired to pick it up again. I finished it over the weekend, and here’s a loose tutorial so you can make this one, too!

I feel terrible that I don’t have any pictures of this quilt block finished. I definitely took photos of it, and now I can’t find them anywhere. I have a sinking suspicion I accidentally deleted the photos shortly after I took them. But this block was for Sophie’s stars quilt, and we had a lot of fun with this one!
