I’ve picked my binding fabric and cut it out. I have no idea where I got this navy blue polka dot fabric, I think maybe from JoAnn Fabrics. I’m binding it following the directions in Material Obsession. My mom also showed me a fairly similar method, I’m kind of mixing the two of them.

I’m finally learning how to bind things in a sensible way, and I’ve got to say it’s way easier than I thought. At least, so far it is. We’ll see how many colorful vocabulary words fly out of my mouth once I actually get going with it. I’ve pinned down the first side, I need to sew it up and then start on the other sides. I’ve been watching YouTube videos showing how to miter the corners, which my mom showed me but I don’t remember.

I think this is going to look pretty cool around the edges of The Rainbow Quilt.
