Those pumpkins were rather heavy.

My friend Maggie and I got up at the crack of dawn this morning to go to Demarest Farms in Hillsdale for pumpkins. We were there by about 9:30, and we skipped the whole hay ride/pumpkins in a field business. We just shopped from all the pumpkins they had on tables at the store. Maggie got everything she needed for her carving party next weekend, and I got a fun selection of gourds and pumpkins for my porch diarama (what else do you call a porch display?). And when we went inside the store we discovered all kinds of homemade delights. I bought some freshly made cider donuts, which I munched on while running errands later in the day–freaking awesome!
