I am a little behind starting this year’s running booklist. I keep all my booklists and crafts made lists here, and this post will get updated as the year goes on.

We’ve been hitting up the library regularly, and I’m very curious to see how my tally this year will look. It will be the first full calendar year that I haven’t been working as a librarian since…I became a librarian. I’m wondering how my reading will look when I’m no longer reading for work, but only for me and for H.

2008: 356 Books Read
2009: 302 Books Read
2010: 344 Books Read
2011: 202 Books Read
2012: 121 Books Read
2013: 118 Books Read
2014: 77 Books Read
2015: 84 Books Read

So the 2016 final book tally is: 76. I read a total of 76 books this year. Actually my lowest-ever total since I’ve been keeping this tally, but since this is also the first year I’ve gone January to January without teaching, there was a big shift away from picture book reading. And teen reading. More grownup reading, which is a good thing! Actually the most grownup reading I’ve done in several years, so…I’ll take it!
