thepurplekangarooThis book is shouting, begging for me to read it aloud at school. The hilarious Michael Ian Black (also writer of last year’s Chicken Cheeks) teams up with my current favorite author/illustrator Peter Brown in a great story of a monkey who can read your mind. And you’re thinking of a purple kangaroo..aren’t you? Are you sure you’re not? You will be by the end of this book, and so will the kids reading it. It’s dynamite, a funny crowd-pleaser that begs for kids to chime in and laugh out loud. Peter Brown’s illustrations are smooth, colorful, and full of life. Definitely going on my next book order!
