So after we left Kauai, we flew back to Oahu. We spent the 4th of July in Waikiki, at the Waikiki Edition (which was awesome and only $200 a night, btw). We had all these elaborate plans for where to camp out for the fireworks, and then we realized about 3 hours before that our hotel room balcony had the perfect view of them–right over the marina. I tried out some fireworks shots with my DSLR. This is an art form, I’m such a rookie. I played with Adam’s zoom and wide angle lenses, with long exposures.

One of our better 4th of July celebrations.
