Her birthday isn’t actually for a couple of weeks, but her party is this weekend. And we’re doing a superhero theme, so I used the Silhouette Cameo my in-laws gave me for Christmas to make really cute favors.

I found the Superman and comic book fonts on dafont.com, which is a great place for free stuff. I’ve used a lot of dafont designs before. The logo font is called Paul’s SUPER Font, and then Comic Book is the font I used for the kids’ names.

These were so easy to make. This was an all-text file, I didn’t actually have to make any images. So I entered all the kids’ first initials in rows using the superhero font, then I went back in and added each kids’ first name individually, then wiggled the names around until they were centered under each initial logo.

Peel off the negative space vinyl.

Move to some transfer paper.

And voila, sticky vinyl to apply to these Dollar Tree blue water bottles I found.

I went to 3 Dollar Trees to find enough of them, but they’re perfect for this preschooler set. Small enough for little kid hands.

Then I found these Oriental Trading favor kits, on Amazon. I needed two packs, but they came loaded with superhero stickers, lightning temporary tattoos, stretchy superhero figures, and superhero masks. I put everything but the masks inside each custom water bottle, and I’ll have the masks out in a bowl for anyone who wants one.

The names aren’t all perfectly aligned, but for a first time with a project like this I don’t mind at all. IMG_5600

I already had a roll of white vinyl that I bought a couple of years ago for my Cricut and hadn’t ever used. Then the favor packs and the bottles, so divided up these favors worked out to about $2.50 each. Not too bad at all!
