I miss Picasa. It could be such a pain about some things, but it was perfect for making collages with a ton of photos. I haven’t found anything better for them to replace it.
It’s a new year, and Picasa is dead. Picasa has been dead for quite some time, but I was still using it to make these outfit collages. It is surprisingly hard to find a collage maker that will just let you take some number of vertical photos and put them in a grid, nothing fancy. I got a new laptop this week (more on that later), so now the old copy of Picasa I was using is gone, and I can’t download it anymore. Ugh.
I’m back! It’s been crazy around here since Thanksgiving. Adam was out of town at a conference the week after Thanksgiving, and I was just busy getting everything done. Then literally the day he got home, Hannah and I came down with the stomach flu, and we got a puppy. Adam spent 6 hours at a rest stop in northern New Jersey waiting for this rescue pup’s transport to arrive, while I was at home being sick and cleaning up after Hannah being sick. So much fun.
Last month we painted our bedroom, had new carpet installed, Adam was out of town for a week on business, Hannah missed 3 or so days of school with a bug that just lingered, Halloween happened, H filmed to be on Sesame Street, I started a YouTube channel, my friend Kathy’s book was released, we saw the neurologist for a checkup for H, and I tackled about 70 trillion projects around the house.
This was September…running around Disney World in shorts and sneakers, then getting through back to school craziness, also in shorts and sneakers. September was hot this year. We finally got the first good turtleneck day on the 24th, and look at that giant grin I’m sporting in that teal turtleneck. Fall is my season!
Every summer there’s at least one month when I barely take any outfit photos, and the ones I do take I’m basically always wearing the same thing. Welcome to August 2016.
We’re having a pretty great month here. My knee has been so much better, school is out, I’ve been working on some new writing assignments, and I’ve lined up two quilts that will be published later this year and early next. We’ve been getting really crafty around here, and we’ve had adventures all over the place. It’s been amazing!
