We spent Presidents’ Day weekend in Philadelphia, hanging out together and visiting museums.

Saturday morning we headed to Philly and stopped at Legoland Discovery Center Philadelphia, which was actually inside a mall. H loved it, we had a great time there. But, it was pretty packed.

So I turned 34 on February 10th. Quite a different year from last year. And there was quite a lot of celebrating this year. I had a great one!

My birthday weekend started with a big snow storm on Saturday the 9th. So we had a great time playing in the snow with H and trying out her new baby sled.

I had such a good day yesterday, I don’t know why I don’t spend more time in Philadelphia. I grew up near NYC, Adam lived there when we met, then we lived in Hoboken for 3 years, I worked and went to grad school there. So I’ve always orbited around NYC. But since we moved to the shore I keep forgetting that Philly is almost as close. An hour to NYC now (1.5 by train), and 1.5 hours to Philadelphia.

One_Yard_Wonders_bookI used the second of my mom’s Christmas gift card bonanza at Barnes & Noble to buy some magazines and One-Yard Wonders by Rebecca Yaker and Patricia Hoskins. I’m in love with it already. It’s been on my wishlist for a while, so when I saw it on display at the bookstore I snatched it up. So many great projects in here, including the fabric dollhouse from UK Lass in the US. Now I definitely need to make that.
