We spent all of last week at an all-inclusive in Punta Cana with my other set of in-laws. And my BIL Thomas. It was glorious, but insanely hot and humid. And I did get a little twitchy with so little internet access. But endless beachside piña coladas definitely made up for it, as did the incredible massage I had in a hut on the beach. And H loved it; she had a solid routine down of mornings at the pool, naps in the room, afternoons on the sand. Not a bad way to bring in October.

I didn’t post yesterday because a) the days here are pretty much the same: beach/pool, food, drinks, more food, activities and b) the sunburn I got on Wednesday had turned into a raging red inferno by the time I woke up. It hurt to do anything. I was too out of it to even take pictures of the beach bikini contest and BBQ we went to. Muscle aches, long sleeve waterproof shirts, and general unhappiness prevailed until 4pm when I went to the spa.

We spent the morning on the beach. It was gorgeous outside, very different from the rain we had when we arrived. After lunch we went to sit by the pool, and I fell asleep in the sun and burned all over my front. Adam had gone inside to get more sunscreen and got distracted by the internet, and I fell asleep.

We arrived in Punta Cana this afternoon, and it was pouring rain. I slept heavily through the flight. We were upgraded to 1st class seats, and man were they comfortable.

I didn’t get photos of much  today besides the lobby and the view outside. It rained for several hours, but we did get to jump in the pool before dinner.
