I’ve been picking up a few things ahead of my birthday next week that just make me smile. This octopus gives me the happies, I picked him up at Target last week. He’s sitting in my studio looking down at me with his piratey, cephalopod ways.

I also finally got all of H’s new Caldecott books purchased and received, so those are sitting on her Caldecott shelf to add to that collection. We’ve been hitting up the public library a lot this year to try and broaden our reading horizons beyond her 4 favorite Elephant and Piggie books. Not that we don’t love Elephant and Piggie, but sometimes the grownups need a change of scenery in the bedtime reading. And now we’ve got these to go through, too.

I did my first giveaway for my virtual book club! My mom actually picked up this Outlander coloring book and donated it to my group for a giveaway. Aren’t those Romeo and Juliet tape flags awesome? I got them at NJASL last fall. I have two sets of Pride and Prejudice flags that I’m hoarding for myself.

I also picked up all these planner stickers for my Erin Condren planner! I will start talking incessantly about my planners very soon, but I have lots to say. I love these stickers from Lily’s Little Cupboard, and her packaging and little extras were delightful.
