Today was the big day, my father-in-law’s 60th birthday party. It’s been in the works for a year now, and finally the day has come and gone without a hitch.

First up was a concert from one of the most famous lutenists alive today, Hopkinson “Hoppy” Smith. He was absolutely brilliant, and he even wrote a song dedicated to Adam’s dad John. “John Reeve, May Green be His Sleeve.” Then we had an incredibly and extremely elaborate meal at Waterside Inn (where we’re also staying tonight), one of 2 3-star Michelin restaurants in Bray.
